way to introduce children to many different styles of music. This collection
of 15 songs range from big band sound ("I've got a Song in My Toes"),
to a lullaby ("Dream Child"), to rock ("Thunder On Dinosaur"),
to samba ("Paw By Paw"), to rap ("Crayon Rap"),
to jazz ("Night Sounds"). Many of the tunes are humorous,
and deal with the activities, antics, thoughts and/or questions of today's
child, such as "Uh Oh, It's Tuesday....", "The Noodle
Song", "The Apple Song", "The Alphabet Backwards
Song" and "Ode To Little Boys Everywhere."
School Library Journal
"I've Got a Song in My Toes has a nice jazzy feel and reflects
the singer's dance background. Bird Bath Buddies contains clever be-bop
lyrics. The Backwards Song contains jumbled-up nursery rhymes that will
elicit giggles from children."
