Laksar Reese
Born in Sydney, Australia, Laksar Reese is one of the brightest young talents to hit the jazz scene in some time. At the young age of twenty-four, and already journeyman as part of the Wayne Newton Orchestra, and toured the U.S. and Europe playing in various Jazz and Latin Jazz combos, Laksar is ready to make his own mark as a band leader with his new quintet.
"Laksar Reese is a swinger with a special musicality. He performs with passion and precision as well as creative attention. He is a young reed-man to watch!"
-Larry Smith all night host of Jazz Forum, WBEZ Radio Chicago
