Donald “Don Dada” Barthelemy Don Dada comes from a long line of professional and very talented musician and singer-songwriters. Growing up in the Yuma Arizona area Donald Don Dada was exposed to many types of musical styles. Country and Western, Latin Jazz, Rock and Roll as well as World Beat and Reggae have all helped to shape Don Dada’s musical genius.

Having picked up his first set of drum sticks at the age of two, he began to copy the beats and rhythms he heard around his home. Soon those beats and rhythms began to originate from within and the rest is history.

Don Dada soon found himself gravitating toward the Roots Reggae scene. Playing with such bands as Mystic Revealers, Lifted Roots, Ishmael and the Peacemakers, Pauhana, Trade Roots, Bunny Mystic, Mama T, General Public, Mystic Roots, Roots Covenant, Black Rhino, The World Citizen Band, Lion SoulJahs, and Psydecar.

In 2007 Donald Don Dada received an endorsement from Viper Drums in Arvada, Colorado. This drum set is a “one off” and has helped to enhance Don Dada’s signature sound. One can literally “feel it” a block away as he works his magic on those custom Vipers.
